President's Message

I hope this season finds you well and that you were able to enjoy the holidays! As we enter the heart of winter and this new year, our community is wrapped in a familiar chill, but also in the warmth of shared connections and new opportunities. I want to thank Peggy Cohen for serving as 2025 APIC WV President and helping me with the conference.  I am honored to serve as the 2026 APIC WV President. My hope is that together we can make great strides in infection prevention initiatives and have our voices heard throughout West Virginia and the Nation. 

We are offering a Fundamentals Class this year. This is a great learning opportunity for new infection preventionist studying for their CIC and “seasoned” infection preventionists that would like to “freshen up” their knowledge. Dates for the class will be posted on the website.  If you would like to showcase your subject matter expertise, please contact me. You are all a wealth of knowledge that needs to be recognized.

APIC WV Membership Meetings

Our in-person meetings will be held at the RETI Training Center, in Sutton WV.  We had to adjust our meetings to Thursdays in order to use the RETI Center. This year’s meeting dates are:
